Today, a Weibo whistleblower showed a picture of the standard 165W charger of the soon-to-be-launched REDMAGIC 7. We knew that this gaming flagship will support 165W super flash charging and is going to become the smartphone with the highest fast-charging power available in the market.
Since the mass production of 120W fast charging in the second half of 2020, the charging speed of the mobile phone industry has greatly accelerated. Surprisingly, the current high-end flagship fast-charging power is still at the 120W stage.
Taking the Red Magic 6 Pro released last year as an example, it supports 120W air-cooled turbo fast charging and can charge a 4500mAh dual-cell large battery to 50% in 5 minutes. This speed shows its power.
Now the arrival of the Red Magic 7 has boosted the fast-charging power of mobile phones again, which will further shorten the charging time, and it will also be the fastest charging smartphone.
In terms of core configuration, the Red Magic 7 uses a 6.8-inch OLED screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 flagship processor, up to 18GB of memory, and has a rear main camera of 64MP.

Many of these specs have been officially confirmed way earlier when the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology published the official certification of the REDMAGIC model named NX679J. At that time, we learned that the REDMAGIC will be available in three colors: green, black, and red and blue gradient. The dimensions of the phone are 170.57×78.33×9.5mm, while the weight is 215g. The front camera will have an 8MP resolution. In addition, the machine will come with 8/12/16GB of RAM and 128/256/512GB of storage.
Red Magic 6s Pro Selling Points
In order to better understand what improvements the REDMAGIC 7 will bring, we have to recall the key features of its predecessor. The Red Magic 6S Pro sports the same 6.8-inch (2400 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 20:9 AMOLED display. Apart from a 165Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate, it also supports 10-bit 1.07 billion colors, DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
