Recently, VIVO’s 4G mobile phone and a tablet passed the 3C certification. At the moment, we don’t know which series the phone will belong to. But as for the tablet, it’s going to be the company’s first product in this field.
The tablet model is PA2170 and it comes with a standard charger of up to 44W input power. It is produced by Dongguan Huabei Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. and is expected to be released after the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year).
VIVO has previously registered trademarks such as “VIVO Pad”, “NEX Pad”, “iQOO Pad”, etc. So we have no idea which of them the tablet will use. However, we bet it would be VIVO Pad, a trademark that was filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in June under Class 9.
VIVO Pad Features
Other than that, prior to this, a Weibo blogger revealed that this tablet has a low positioning. Particularly, it will sport a Snapdragon 870 chip, a 120Hz large LCD screen of equal width and narrow border, a front camera placed in the border, and a battery capacity of 7860mAh. The tipster predicted that the tablet will cost around 2,000 yuan ($315). So there is every reason to think that it will make a competition to the vanilla version of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5, Honor Pad V7, Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro, and similar products on the market.
Well, when recalling the battery, we have to note that a mysterious VIVO device believed to be a tablet was spotted on TUV’s website last year with an 8,040 mAh battery. The rest of the features remained unknown. So we can’t compare it with the one we have been talking about above. Anyway, we can expect the tablet to come with 8GB or even 12 GB of RAM, and 128 GB or 256 GB of native storage. Also, there should be a good selfie camera with at least 8 MP resolution or more. Apart from this, VIVO may even surprise us with a dual-camera setup, which is not really common on tablets, but it’s a plus.
It is worth mentioning that Hu Boshan, executive vice president of VIVO, revealed in an interview last year that the first VIVO tablet will be launched in the first half of 2022, focusing on synergy with mobile phones. In other words, the biggest highlight of the tablet will be the smart interconnection and data transfer with VIVO smartphones.
