OPPO Reno 8 Pro Shown In Renders: Many Things In Common With Reno 6

OPPO has submitted a design patent for one of its upcoming smartphones. LetsGoDigital thinks it belongs to the OPPO Reno 8 Pro series. Based on the patent and previous leaks, they created the phone’s renders.

As we can see, the OPPO Reno 8 Pro has a uniquely designed camera, with the camera island extending over the entire width of the phone. This takes up about 30% of the back panel. The triple camera is placed on the left. It has a vertical arrangement with the LED flash to the right. In fact, there are many similarities with the Oppo Reno 6.

The patent images show the mobile phone in three different colors: black, silver, and a blue gradient variant.

It is also worth noting that the gray model has a colored light ring around the three camera lenses. Unfortunately, the functionality remains unknown.

The patent images also show the side of the phone. Say, we can see the camera only slightly protruding from the housing. Most likely, this means the zoom range will be limited. Although Oppo previously released several smartphones with 10x Hybrid zoom functionality, the zoom range has only become less in recent models.

Of course, we can’t insist on the idea that this will definitely be the OPPO Reno 8 Pro. But if it is not the forthcoming OPPO Find X5, there is every reason to think it’s the OPPO Reno series model, assumably the OPPO Reno 8 Pro.

The Reno 8 line-up is expected to hit the market in the fall of 2022, of which the Oppo Reno 8 Pro will be the top model. But as it is still too far from the launch, we don’t have much info about these phones.

Anyway, the design of this phone also resembles the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. However, Xiaomi chose to use the empty space for a second display – this one is missing from Oppo’s variant.

The Oppo phone is further characterized by narrow screen bezels and a punch-hole camera system placed in the top left corner. In fact, the front panel has many things in common with the Reno 6, which also applies to the rounded edges. With the Reno 7, Oppo has opted for a right-hand frame, similar to the iPhone 13 models. This is not the case with the patented model.

On the right, there is a physical power button and on the left are the volume keys. You will also find the SIM slot on the left.
