Earlier today, Lenovo’s official Weibo channel released a real video of the Legion Y700 gaming tablet. At the same time, the video showed some configuration information and design elements.
In terms of design, the Legion Y700 uses a CNC metal middle frame. The screen does not use a quad-sided equal-width design. Also, the R angle is smaller. The “LEGION” and “Lenovo” logos are printed on the back of the fuselage. On the back, we can also find a single camera accompanied by a flash. It is worth noting that there seem to be two independent shoulder buttons on the side of the fuselage.
Combining information got from the video and the previous promo posters, the Legion Y700 will sport an 8.8-inch screen with a resolution of 2560*1600. The latter will also support a 120Hz high refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and has a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
In addition, it can be clearly seen in the video that the Legion Y700 supports the JBL sound system, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos.
The company has also revealed that in the 120 high frame rate test of “Honor of Kings”, the Legion Y700 was stable at 119.1fps throughout the whole process, and the frame rate was almost stable in a straight line. At the same time, the highest surface temperature of the fuselage was only 36.5 ℃ (room temperature 23 ℃).
Other than that, the upcoming Legion Y700 also supports the “super-wide field of view mode” of MOBA games (currently supports “Honor of Kings” and “League of Legends Mobile Games”).
This mode can be turned on or off by itself, and you can also choose to turn it on in the middle or turn it on at the bottom. After turning it on, you can instantly enlarge the game screen, just like a physical plug-in.
Many users liked the small-screen iPad mini as a “game console”. But due to battery life and system limitations, they hoped that there will be a manufacturer to launch a flagship Android tablet with a small screen and high refresh rate. In this sense, the Lenovo Legion Y700 should be what they are looking for.
Apart from the Lenovo Legion Y700 gaming tablet, the company is going to announce a new gaming smartphone dubbed the Legion Y90. It will come with a 6.92-inch Full HD+ resolution screen that will also boast a 144Hz refresh rate. It’s going to be a symmetrical full-screen using Samsung’s E4 OLED material. Of course, under the hood, it will carry a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
These two should be uncovered at the same event.
