Recently, LetsGoDigital created high-definition renders of Samsung’s upcoming flagship tablet, namely the Galaxy Tab S8. As it usually happens, the renders are based on the previously leaked specs.
Judging from the renders, the Galaxy Tab S8 is not much different in design from most tablets on the market. It also adopts a right-angle frame design and arranges a contact point connected to the stylus in the middle of the upper frame.
As a new tablet PC coming our way from Samsung after a lapse of two years, the Galaxy Tab S8 has more upgrades than its predecessor S7. It is clearly reflected in hardware and parameters.
The Galaxy Tab S8 series will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship processor. In terms of performance, it provides a 40% better performance than the Snapdragon 865 used in the S7.
The Samsung Tab S8 will come standard with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. According to some sources, there will be a version powered by 256GB of native storage. Regardless of which model you prefer, the tablet also offers microSD memory card support – so you can easily expand the storage memory afterward.
However, the rest of the features do not differ much from the previous handset. Say, it sports an 11-inch LTPS TFT display with a 2K (2560×1600) resolution. It has a peak brightness of 500 nits and supports a 120Hz high refresh rate. At the same time, the higher-positioned Plus and Ultra versions will come with way more advanced screens.
Other Highlights of Upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S8
In addition, the Galaxy Tab S8 series will use the same Android 12-based One UI 4.1 system as Samsung’s mobile phones. We guess it’s the right time to remind you that the S7 has not yet received Android 12 or One UI 4.1 system updates.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 does not get a notch, as the top model does. The base model gets slightly wider screen edges so that there is still enough space in the bezel to accommodate the selfie camera. It is a 12=megapixel front camera, which can, of course, also be used for video calls.
A dual-camera is placed on the back, the specifications of which are the same for all three Tab S8 models. It is a 13MP wide-angle camera (f/2.0) and a 6MP ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.2) with autofocus. There is also an LED flash available.
Another advantage compared to its predecessor is going to be support for 5G connectivity due to the integrated modem. But there will also be a WiFi-only model.
Samsung is expected to officially release the Galaxy Tab S8 series of tablets in early February. The prices ought to vary from 680 euros for the Galaxy Tab S8 to 1,040 euros for the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.
