Asus is not a big player in the smartphone market but it has its own place in this field. We can just recall the much-popular ZenFone series and everything will return to normal. In this sense, the next-gen ZenFone 9 series attracts much attention. We mean it’s not out yet, but every time we hear news about the phone, it makes a stir. The newest leak is no exception.
Apart from the forthcoming Asus ZenFone 9, there will be another smartphone coming our way from Asus. It’s the Rog Phone 6. They are months away from the official launch. And the leak we were talking about above refers to these two. Also, it shows the possible look of those two models. In fact, the leak showcases the so-called 2D renders of the mentioned smartphones. What’s more interesting, it seems they all will come with secondary displays.
As a reference, Asus launched the ROG Phone 5 and Zenfone 8 in April and May last year, respectively. Since then, we have been hearing various rumors confirming that the manufacturer was working on the next-generation models of both series. Now, we have every reason to think that was true.
ASUS ZenFone 9
Well, getting back to the models, the ZenFone 9 will still use the same design style as its predecessor. Thus, it will come with two camera lenses isolated at the top left corner of the back panel. But now, we see there ought to be a new “design element”, a secondary screen. A closer look lets us see that the setup consists of a 50MP primary and a 12MP ultra-wide camera.
Generally talking, secondary displays have made a name over the past few years. Probably, the best example is the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. So it’s logical that Asus is trying to win customers’ hearts using a design, at least, not refused by users.
One of the eye-catching features is the back double-tap gesture. If this info is accurate, our protagonist might come with a double-tap feature similar to Apple iPhones.
ASUS ROG Phone 6
When it comes to the next-gen Asus gaming smartphone, the ROG Phone 6 will inherit many design elements of the ROG Phone 5. We can see a large “ROG O6” diagonal branding on its back. But the Pro version of the handset will have no printings. As said, these two smartphones will sport secondary displays as well.
We still have no other information concerning their hardware but the source is sure they both will feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chips.
