Today, the whistleblower @Shadow_leak released a render of a new phone, saying that this is the upcoming flagship dubbed the VIVO NEX 5. The latter is scheduled to hit the market in February. Although we have no concrete launch date.
According to the leaked render, the design of the VIVO NEX 5 is quite unique. The rear module with four sensors is not arranged in the center. Instead, it is placed on the left, and it is integrated with VIVO’s characteristic window design, which looks very recognizable.
We can also see that the VIVO NEX 5 will use a centered punch-hole curved screen. The lens module still carries the Zeiss logo and the words 50MP GN1. Thus, it shows that the phone not only uses the Samsung ISOCELL GN1 sensor with a 50MP resolution but also gets all goodies coming our way from ZEISS, a camera brand that has been known for its cooperation with Nokia.
VIVO NEX 5 Features
According to previous leaks, the VIVO NEX 5 will use a large screen of about 7 inches. Thus, the size is comparable to a small tablet. The material it uses is the flexible OLED. The handset will also boast the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.
If you follow this brand news, you should know that VIVO’s NEX line has been chasing the idea of a genuine full-screen experience. Starting from the first generation of phones, it has been trying to bring a true comprehensive screen performance. For this goal, it was using various designs and technologies. But it seems that the VIVO NEX 5 will differ from all previous models. We mean the punch-hole screen design can’t be considered to be a full-screen design.
However, we have heard that the phone might be using an under-screen camera. If so, the render above has nothing in common with reality, at least, the front side.
As for the rear, the information got from this render could be comparable with previous news. Insiders have reported that the VIVO NEX 5 will get a multi-module camera system. One of the sensors will be a periscope lens with 5x optical zoom.
The Executive Vice President of Vivo, Hu Baishan has stated that the new range will be made during the first half of 2022. The reason, apparently, could be due to the efforts that the brand is making to release its first leaflet, which in any case will carry the word NEX in the name.
